Dear fellow Clumber fanciers:
The Clumber Spaniel Health Foundation was founded in 2007, as a means to provide Clumber spaniel fanciers a way to help support health research and information. The Foundation is staffed entirely by volunteers. Since its founding, CSHF has funded over $100,000 worth of research into canine health problems.
This support is only possible because of contributions from people like you. Each grant is carefully evaluated by our Scientific Advisory Committee, and voted upon by the Board of Directors. The Foundation strives to support research that is meaningful to our breed, but which also may help dogs in general.
We continue to search for answers to health issues such as Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia, Intervertebral Disc Disease, and Hemangiosarcoma - conditions which can take our dogs unexpectedly.
The Foundation also manages the CSCA DNA bank, and we are working hard with Embark to develop a new, computerized DNA bank that will facilitate research in the future.
We cannot do this without your support – both financially, and by having your dogs DNA evaluated with Embark. As always, we do this for the dogs!
